DZ Deathrays - Bloodstreams (10 Year Anniversary Vinyl Re-Press)

To celebrate the 10-year anniversary of its release, I OH YOU present a very special limited re-pressing of DZ Deathrays’ iconic debut album Bloodstreams.

The exclusive Translucent Red vinyl comes in a gatefold with a printed inner sleeve, and spot UV front cover artwork.

2012, for many it was a time of ripped skinny jeans, checkerboard vans, Project X inspired house parties and the height of indie sleaze – and the year that explosive Brisbane duo DZ Deathrays released their unapologetically loud, debut album Bloodstreams through I OH YOU on Friday 7th April 2012. It was with equal parts disbelief and delight, it dawned on I OH YOU that 2022 would mark a decade of working with the beloved label act on the release of their critically acclaimed debut LP.

Bloodstreams was recorded in Queensland with Richard Pike (PVT, Mac Miller, The Temper Trap) in under two weeks, Bloodstreams saw praise flow in from across the globe. Pitchfork gave the album an honourable 7.4/10, dubbing the release “more than worth going deaf to”, while NME UK wrote, “this album has the potential to make your little sister want to shave her head and invest in mock leather hotpants. It’s the penned seduction of a weekend of irresponsibility and a Monday full of inferior excuses."

Bloodstreams and DZ Deathrays have unarguably more than stood the test of time, and this release is a little thank you to their loyal fans who have been there through it all.
